Investing.com – Sirius XM (NASDAQ:) reported on Thursday first quarter that missed analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Sirius XM announced earnings per share of $0.08 on revenue of $2.19B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.0807 on revenue of $2.15B.

Sirius XM shares are down 7% from the beginning of the year, still down 17.99% from its 52 week high of $7.28 set on June 9, 2021. They are outperforming the S&P Global 100 which is down 10.1% from the start of the year.

Sirius XM follows other major Communication Services sector earnings this month

Sirius XM’s report follows an earnings missed by Alphabet C on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $24.62 on revenue of $68.01B, compared to forecasts EPS of $25.75 on revenue of $68.08B.

Alphabet A had missed expectations on Tuesday with first quarter EPS of $24.62 on revenue of $68.01B, compared to forecast for EPS of $25.89 on revenue of $68.08B.
